By using VirtualFont (virtualfont.com) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The service

VirtualFont provides free, browser-based tools and articles to help you explore, test, pair and implement web fonts. We may change, add or remove features at any time, and we do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.

Fonts and font licences

VirtualFont does not own, sell or license the fonts shown on the website. Font previews are loaded from Google Fonts, and each font is licensed by its authors under its own licence, usually the SIL Open Font License 1.1 or the Apache License 2.0. Your use of a font is governed by that font’s licence, not by these terms. Each font page links to the applicable licence, and our font licensing guide gives a plain-language overview. That guide is general information, not legal advice.

Code generated by the tools

You may use, copy, modify and publish the CSS, HTML and code snippets generated by the tools for any purpose, including commercial projects, without attribution. The snippets are provided as a starting point; check that they meet your needs before using them in production.

Content on this website

Articles, text, design and the VirtualFont name and logo are protected by copyright and other laws. You may quote short passages with a link to the source. Do not republish whole articles or copy the website’s design without permission.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use automated tools to scrape the website at a rate that affects its performance for others.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the website’s security or operation.
  • Do not use the contact form to send spam or unlawful content.

Third-party services and links

The website relies on third-party services such as Google Fonts and may include advertising and affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party websites and services. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear.

No warranty

The website and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Information about fonts, accessibility and performance is provided in good faith but may contain errors or become out of date.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VirtualFont is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
